Dial 1 for UK
Dial 1 for UK began life in 2024 through Vital Xposure’s Well Springs Writers Programme, supporting Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent writers. A first 20 minute showcase was presented at Soho Theatre in February 2024.
The work was subsequently developed with director Phil Willmott, leading to a rehearsed reading at Barons Court Theatre in May 2024, supported by Leo Baccia.
Later that year, the piece previewed at Bitesize Festival and Riverside Studios, before travelling internationally to Canada for an industry showcase in October 2024 and to Mumbai in December 2024 to test its resonance with global audiences.
In 2025, Dial 1 for UK was awarded the Keep It Fringe Grant, enabling its full staging at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Greenside Venues. Supported by NLPG and Arts Council England, the production toured nationally across the UK in Autumn 2025. Discussions are now underway for an international tour in 2026, alongside further UK performances planned for May 2026.
